Kids

Here at NewSong we have a TEAM of dedicated workers that's all about kids! Our passion is to take the kids beyond just a knowledge about Jesus, to a best friend relationship that will last longer than a lifetime. We believe church should be fun for all ages! Teaching is interactive, sit and listen?, not! Our kids become a part of the story as we dig into God's Word to unlock the truths that will prove to be the foundations of their young faith. We believe our kids are the church of today. For this reason our goal is to develop hearts of compassion and love in our kids that will reach beyond the walls of the church, to share the story of Jesus, that has become a reality in their young lives!

Kid’s Connect Clubs

Newsong’s Small Groups for kids! Our clubs meet every Wednesday night at our Severance Campus from 7:00pm-8:30pm. Club nights are full of fun, games, contest, crafts, and much more! The small group teaching times is on grade level and divided by gender. This is our time to really get to know the kids, so we can meet them at their point of need.

The kid’s also do Reach Out Events! The kids take their gifts outside the wall of the church to bring joy to another’s life! Through song, clown skits, dance, and individual instruments, we visit nursing homes and other facilities to share the joy we have in Jesus!

Our Club events consist of Winter Overnighters, Pinewood Derby race, Thanksgiving Food Drive for the City Mission, and more!

Rainbows

Rainbows is the name given to Newsong’s ministry to our preschool kids ages 3-5. Rainbows meet on Wednesday nights along with our Kid’s Clubs at our Severance Campus from 7:00pm-8:30pm, and on Sundays during our service times at both NewSong campuses. We are not a babysitting service! We have a great team of workers that teach through interactive play, story time, songs, crafts, memory verses, and more. Statistics show that a child learns half of what they are going to learn in a lifetime by age 6. Therefore we strive to pour into young lives that are so eager to learn new things with excitement! Rainbows have a separate curriculum for Sunday and Wednesday nights. The information is not a repeat, the only thing the two classes share is the title. Rainbow’s is a cooperative ministry we ask that you as a parent serve once a month in the care of our preschoolers.

LittleSong

LittleSong is our ministry to children birth through age 2. LittleSong is available for childcare during our Sunday morning services and Wednesday nights Clubs. Our LittleSong Staff is committed to the care and well being of children! We are equipped with changing facilities, swings, walkers, and age appropriate toys. The goal of our staff is to provide the most loving, caring, healthy, and organizes atmosphere possible; so you as parents can enjoy NewSong teaching and fellowship during our service times. LittleSong is a cooperative ministry, we ask that you as a parent serve once a month in the care of our babies.

KidSong

KidSong is our Sunday Morning Kid’s service for grades 1-6. KidSong meets at our Orange Village Campus at 9:00am and 11:00am at our Severance Campus. We believe church should be FUN, for this reason we make our kid’s learning experience interactive, and creative! We are all about the kid’s foundation, therefore we use skits, object lessons, multimedia, and more to communicate, and bring application to foundational bible stories and principals! At the present time we are into a “God Chasers” series with the objective of taking our kids from a knowledge about God, to a best friend relationship with God! The last Sunday of the month is our “Go 360” Missions Service! We bring in a local or worldwide missionary to share what God has called them to do. We want to build a heart of love and compassion into the hearts of our kids, so they will be “Doers” of God’s Word!

Over the next six months the kids will be presented with the following:

First Sunday of the month: "One Church Celebration" at Severance.

Second Sunday of the month: We will be teaching the books of the New Testament, the theme, and an overview of what the book is about. To do this we will be using the "Key Word Learning System", by Walk Through the Bible Ministries. Also on this Sunday, Leila Pelhan will be engaging the kids in a fun time we are calling, "Worship in Motion!" This is going to be a great Sunday, and all the kids that learn the books of the New Testament and their themes will get a special prize!

Third Sunday of the month: KidSong will be covering the foundations of our faith through the following topics: Our Bible, Our Church, Our Neighbors, Salvation, Water Baptism, Communion, Thithing, and the Rapture. The teaching will be exciting to the kids and filled with interactive opportunities for the kids to participate.

The Fourth Sunday of the month: This will be our "GO 360" Missions Service! On this morning we will be learning about and praying for people all over our world and for people right here in Cleveland! From time to time we will have NewSong Missionaries come in and share about their call into missions and what they are doing as a missionary. We will also have local ministries come in and share with the kids. All the kids will be taking home Missions Bank Boxes to be brought in on this Sunday. There will be an ongoing contest between the Boys and the Girls as to who brings the most money. Children who bring in their Missions Box will be entered into a drawing for a special prize.

When we have a Fifth Sunday: This will be our video Sunday - yes it will be fun and exciting, but most important, filled with teachable moments.
